Why Aether?
Aether was the primordial god of the upper atmosphere — the bright, pure air that filled the highest regions of the cosmos, above the clouds that mortals breathed and even above the atmosphere that the Olympian gods inhabited. Aether was not just air — he was the substance of the divine realm itself. Light traveled through Aether. The gods breathed Aether. In ancient cosmology, Aether was the medium of the highest domain, the purest layer of existence, the interface between the material world and the divine.
